About : Observation de l’éclipse solaire
Get ready to experience a moment suspended between heaven and earth! We invite you to discover a fascinating celestial spectacle, visible from the village’s alpine pastures.
🔭 To enjoy this phenomenon in complete peace of mind, the Tourist Office is here to assist you: we offer certified viewing glasses to protect your eyes, as well as personalized advice on the best local viewing spots.
We recommend an independent evening viewing session at Lac du Langaret. This spot, set back from the village lights, is ideal for a peaceful break and is just a 20-minute walk from the village square.
🍹 To complement your exploration, the Bergerie restaurant will be open, right next to the Langaret viewing spot.
SAFETY TIPS: To safely view this event, the general public must wear protective eyewear specifically designed for solar observation that filters out 100% of UV rays and must not remove them for the entire duration of the eclipse.
In fact, observing an eclipse requires the use of protective glasses because exposing the retina to intense visible light can cause serious damage, such as burns, or even lead to blindness. The fact that the sun appears dim or that you feel no discomfort while looking at it does not mean your eyes are protected.
Ordinary sunglasses, 3D movie glasses, or other materials not specifically designed for direct observation of the sun (tinted lenses, film negatives, photographic filters, etc.) are not suitable for safely viewing the eclipse.
Don’t miss this magical encounter with the universe!
