Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine Ski area’s charming resort

Whether you are looking to ski at your own pace or really push your limits, you’ll find the skiing experience that suits you in Villard-Reculas. The snow is different on each mountainside and the slopes have been marked out here without impacting the natural environment.

You couldn’t dream of a better place to ski, combined with the 103 slopes of the Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine Ski area.

Beginners

There is a beginners’ area at the foot of the slopes, so both adults and children can learn easily and in complete safety. The Ecole du Ski Français (ESF) ski school also provides two children’s areas in the perfect location and accessible on foot or with a lift.

Skiers

For skiing fanatics, the Villarais chairlift will take you to the 250 km of slopes at the Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine Ski area. In less than 8 minutes, you can reach the famous fun slope, Marcel’s Farm, and you can then ski at your own pace across Alpe d’Huez or enjoy a dozen slopes and 20 km of downhill skiing in the Villard-Reculas sector. If you are more interested in venturing “off-piste”, the Espace Freeride de La Forêt awaits you, with a view of the valley way down below and completely untouched snow.

Après-ski

In Villard-Reculas, there is a wide range of activities to enjoy after skiing, for people of all ages, and the Tourist Office organises a whole host of entertainment and experiences.
