Mountain Film Night: *Les Cimes Étoilées* and *The Albons*, in pursuit of the UTMB!

The Starry Peaks:

Chamonix. A summer night. Julian gazes at the stars. He thinks of those who lack the words to express their dreams. So he decides to climb the peaks for them.
Julian Mendez is an ultra-trail runner and an amateur mountaineer. For some time now, he has been dreaming of an extraordinary adventure: to link and climb three legendary peaks in the Alps, relying solely on the strength of his legs—Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, and the Eiger. A journey of 270 km on foot with 17,000 meters of elevation gain.
On July 1, 2025, his adventure begins in front of the church in Chamonix. A journey that will transform him forever.
But he is not alone. By his side, a group of passionate and determined friends supports him in this challenge. And a little further along, children with autism, for whom a fundraiser will be organized.
These children will give his project an entirely new dimension. It is this human chain—united, supportive, and inclusive—that will enable him to overcome the most difficult moments.

The Albons, on the Path to the UTMB:

Jon and Henriette Albon are two professional athletes passionate about ultra-trail running who have been married for ten years. Their lifestyle is based on a delicate balance between sports and social life.
Ranked among the world’s best athletes in 100-km races, they are setting themselves an even more ambitious challenge: to compete in their first Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) in 2025 and attempt to win it.
This 175-km race represents a true leap into the unknown and demands a level of preparation and discipline they have never experienced before. Four letters thus take center stage in their daily lives, eventually becoming almost an obsession: UTMB.
This film chronicles their 2025 season, marked by doubts and joys, sacrifices and rewards. All these ups and downs lead them to the big day, Friday, August 29, at the Place du Triangle de l’Amitié in Chamonix.
