Long hike around the lakes – Snowshoe hike in the Alpe d’Huez area from Villard-Reculas

From the Villard-Reculas Tourist Office, take the Villarais chairlift, then descend towards Alpe d'Huez via the Signal mixed lift, where the walk starts.

Then take the Poutran walk, a route with a moderate but continuous elevation gain, which leads you towards Les Jeux.
Before the climb to Les Jeux, signs and markers indicate the route to the Lacs walk.

This walk offers a remarkable setting: depending on the season, you can admire up to five frozen lakes, as well as ice waterfalls, which are real natural curiosities along the route.

Throughout the route, it is essential to follow the trail markings. Please do not use the cross-country ski trails and stay exclusively on the marked routes.

The walk is a round trip to Alpette.

The activity is only permitted during the ski lift opening hours. We therefore recommend that you allow enough time to return to the starting village before 4:00 p.m.
