Whether you are looking to ski at your own pace or really push your limits, you’ll find the skiing experience that suits you in Villard-Reculas. The snow is different on each mountainside and the slopes have been marked out here without impacting the natural environment.
You couldn’t dream of a better place to ski, combined with the 111 slopes of the Espace Alpe d’Huez area.
Skiers and Snowboarders
For snow sports enthusiasts, the Villarais chairlift is the gateway to the 250 km of slopes in the Alpe d’Huez ski area. In less than eight minutes, you’ll reach the top of the Signal at 2,100 metres, ready to enjoy the famous fun run Marcel’s Farm. From there, you can glide gently down towards Alpe d’Huez or make the most of the dozen runs and 20 km of descents in the Villard-Reculas sector.

The Forêt Freeride Area, secured and opened by the resort’s ski patrol, awaits you with breathtaking views over the valley and untouched, ungroomed snow.
Beginners
There is a beginners’ area at the foot of the slopes, so both adults and children can learn easily and in complete safety. The Ecole du Ski Français (ESF) ski school also provides two children’s areas in the perfect location and accessible on foot or with a lift.
Freestylers
Inaugurated for the 2024–2025 winter season, the Vallons Snowpark is a brand-new area where you can try out or perfect your freestyle skills!
Nestled in a small valley, its location offers ideal conditions to accumulate and preserve snow throughout the season. The naturally playful terrain makes it the perfect spot for jumps and features.

After a great day on the slopes, Villard-Reculas offers a wide range of activities for all ages! Our dedicated professionals are ready to help you discover experiences that will make your holiday truly unforgettable. During the season, the Tourist Office offers a varied programme of events and entertainment.
